With a small change everything can change
Human beings need a community to survive, with rare exceptions, if we perceive a sense of loneliness and abandonment we become ill because we live in a constant feeling of insecurity even about our own survival.
Each of us has a community of family, relatives, and friends, both at work and in our local communities. Yet we feel increasingly alone and insecure. Why is this?
The answer lies in social comparison, which causes both our frustration at constantly feeling inadequate and the gossip and judgment of others that dominate almost all public and private conversations today.
If we feel judged and inadequate, fear grows within us and we become rigid, resulting in the constant state of anxiety that negatively affects all of our lives.
Yet all it takes is a small change: stopping judging others and avoiding judgmental people and contexts.
Are we capable of facing this challenge? Yes, if we want to and commit ourselves, desiring to improve ourselves and our lives.
Is it easy? No, it's not easy because it involves changing personal and social habits.
Is it possible? Yes, if we truly want to.
