Beware of this type of toxicity

Today the most widespread toxicity is not air pollution, but criticism.

We criticize everything and everyone, everything is divided into factions against one or another. But what is the result of all this? What we get is stress, tension, mistrust, and resentment; all emotions that stiffen us, arousing resentment and hatred.

Is it worth it to us?

Observing the Earth from space, we see a marvelous luminous globe that inspires awe and beauty. Seen from up there, compared to the infinity of space, it appears like a small part of a greater whole.

Well, is it smart to be in conflict rather than living in harmony, all living in such a small environment?

So criticism is not an external problem to ourselves, but an internal one, and this is good news because it's quicker for us to correct ourselves as individuals rather than act on society as a whole.

But let's see why we criticize.

It seems that those who are accustomed to gossip or who have difficulty being discreet suffer from an inferiority complex and are therefore unhappy. For this reason, they tend to criticize others, lacking the courage and/or feeling inadequate to live like them.

Basically there is a lack of passion, of passion for life.

What happens when we become passionate about something, like a hobby or a crush? Everything else disappears and we don't care about anything or anyone; we're completely captivated by our interest and even ignore our physical ailments and complaints. In short, we're in love.

Yes, love isn't just about the feelings between two people, but also the passion for a project, a job, an exploration, research, or study. Indeed, love between two people may fade over time, but the passion for one's calling never dies.

So, if we want to free ourselves from the toxicity of criticism, all we have to do is find or rediscover our vocation, our passion, and we will find ourselves in our ideal state of happiness, also called flow.

This is the greatest wish we can make for ourselves and for all the people we care about.
